1920'es style wedding at Raasay

Katie's ideas to have a wedding with inspiration from the 1920s and held at the amazing Raasay, a small island off the Isle of Skye, came true.

Katie had spent time on the island previously with her now husband and they fell in love with the place. It was not the easiest place to organise a wedding from Edinburgh, but it all fell into place and certainly showed it was worth it.

We made Katie a soft wedding dress in silk satin with a beaded mesh overlay in ivory colour. She had heavier beaded motifs attached to the dress, beaded edgings on the neckline, a deep keyhole at the back and scallop edgings on the hemline.

We absolutely love the result and Katie was so lovely to work with.

Thank you to Love Skye Photography for supplying the lovely images!

Bridesmaids in light pink and champagne lace

Was delighted to be asked to make 6 bridesmaids dresses for Kathryn's beautiful wedding.

The wedding had soft pinks and neutral colours and the styling was soft, romantic and sophisticated.

The design was such a challenge, as 2 of the bridesmaids were pregnant, and we wanted a style which suited them all equally well.

We ended up with a silk marocain dress in very pale pink with champagne lace overlay on the bodice, and buttons and loops at the back, a little train and scallop lace edgings on all the lace.

The design tied together well with Planet Flowers  beautiful bouquets with the lace on he stems. The wedding reception was held at Archerfield and the beautiful photographs are taken and kindly supplied by Rankine Photography.

Wedding at Inchyre

Mireille had organised her dress from another supplier 12 months before her wedding then 2 months before her wedding, she took it out of a box and though... ohh that dress is not as beautiful as the rest of all my gorgeous plans.
She got in touch, and we were delighted to help.

She went for a very delicate Chantilly lace, in a porcelain soft white colour. The lace had a lovely scallop edge with eyelashes sitting as little fluttery on her edges. The back was a deep Wide V, with scallop edging and lovely little cap sleeves. Her lace was sitting on top of a soft porcelain white satin dress. The dress was really full to the back and at the hemline, but the soft fluid fabric made it look soft light and feminine.

Mireille had organised her wedding to be in the The Byre at Inchyra, It was really exciting as it was one of the first weddings to be held here, now many to follow.

The photographs were beautiful, and kindly supplied by Zoe Campbell Photography, and show the gorgeous couple and the unusual venue and handsome bride and groom, and not least a lovely contemporary relaxed styled wedding.

The fittings were an absolute joy as Mireille was tireless telling about her joy of training for an iron woman, something i could only dream of.

It was a lovely wedding to be part of, hope you love the result as much as i do.

Fine lace with soft silk satin, for an autumnal wedding in the Higlands

It was such a pleasure to work with this beautiful bride, she wanted a simple sophisticated silk wedding dress with a deep neckline and delicate lace sleeves for her Autumnal highland wedding... we made her just that.

She had beautiful flowers from Rogue Flowers which traveled from Edinburgh to Glencoe for her.

We love it all and so happy the sun shone for the bride in the late autumn.
