Gorgous girls at the George Hotel

Suzanne has been my friend for many years, and i was delighted when she met Samantha... and over the moon when they got engaged.

Both wonderful ladies came to me with their ideas, and pretty much everyone i know, who know either Suzanne or Samantha was nagging me endlessly about what they were going to wear. It was a big responsibility being the only person who knew what they were both wearing and and to coordinate it all so it came together.. i am really proud that it did.

Both ladies looked gorgeous on the day, i was proud to be there and witness all the happiness.

Suzanne had lovely Vivienne Westwood shoes, with love hearts on, i loved those, they softened the geometric lines of her halterneck silk devore dress. Suzanne went to London to buy her silk for her dress, which she was determined should not be too bridal ;-)

Samantha came to me with inspiration from much softer and more feminine ideas than Suzanne's, she went for a circle skirt chiffon dress, with a boned bodice and chiffon overlay and a vintage style beaded belt.

Both girls had individual bouquets from Planet Flowers.

The wedding was held in the The George Hotel Edinburgh and it was such a great day.

A friend, Paddy Reilly took the lovely photographs.

Chiffon Circle skirt and lace for pretty summer wedding

Hannah came with our business recommended from more than one person.. how nice!

She stays in London so she came to see me first time over her Christmas visit to her parents’ home in Edinburgh.

Hannah had different ideas which we discussed, with a bit of sketching up done, and some draping up fabrics on a tailors dummy, Hannah had an idea of the dress she would like. We then made the Calico Toile. A trial version of her dress in sheet fabric.

Her dress was made in a lovely corded lace and a full circle polyester chiffon skirt and a lace bolero which tied at the back in a big bow.

She really liked the cut, and that made us move on to the real fabric. The first fitting in the real fabric fitted really really well, and we made some tweaks.. like making the skirt fuller and a changed the dept of the belt.

Hannah’s dress was soon finished with a minimum number of fittings.

We were delighted when Hannah's mum asked us to make her outfit too. she went for a lace dress and douppion silk jacket.

Hannah's wedding was in St Davidson's Mains Parish Church and reception in Old Convent, Napier College, Craiglockhart, the flowers were by Bloemen Ecke. Hair and makeup by Jak Morgan

Hannah's lovely photographs were taken by Kitchener Photography. We thank everybody for their lovely work and not least the photographer for letting us use the photographs.

TeePee's on the Argyll coast

Despite Amy living as far away as Kenya, she still asked us to make her wedding dress. We were so happy to help.
Amy went for a very exquisite lace, backed with a soft fine satin, deep V-neck and fine buttons, she was very sure her wedding style should be soft, romantic, summery and non fussy. We feel we achieved a gorgeous look for Amy.
The dress was made when Amy visited her Parents at Easter time.
Amy's mum Fiona is a talented florist Fiona Cumming Floristry and she was much involved in the styling of the wedding as well as on hand with all the floral decorations for the day. Amy wanted them to reflect the vegetation of tropical Kenya.
We also made Fiona's outfit, a gorgeous purple georgette and lace outfit.
The reception was held south of Oban in gorgeous tepees by Loch Melfort Country House Hotel
We love the entire look of the wedding and was delighted to be involved, see for yourself.
Thank you so much to Wee Beauty for taking such lovely photographs and letting us use them.
