Wintry wedding at the Bonham hotel

Alison came to see us with a short concise brief for her wedding dress. She wanted luxurious fabrics, lace top, no train, simple a-line. Her wedding was going to be a small wintry intimate family affair in the Bonham Hotel. She went for a skirt in a silk zibeline, it gave a really rich and wintry texture to her dress and a lovely contrast for the very fine pretty chantilly empire line bodice, which was to go on top of her dress. The dress is a soft dress with very light boning. She wrote to us after and said: "Thank you again for making me such a lovely wedding dress.. it really helped to make the whole day such a great experience and was just perfect". Alison it was lovely working with you and we delighted for the opportunity to show you off on the blog. The lovely photographs are taken by Neil Denham at Denham weddings .

dark navy and pink bridesmaids dresses

Catherine ordered 4 bridesmaids dresses from us. We were excited about her ideas of her Dundas Castle wedding and Flowers from Planet flowers and lovely Autumnal feel to the day. The girls were  lovely to work with. We made 3 adult bridesmaids dresses, one which was a maternity dress, and one dress for Catherine's gorgeous teenage niece. Catherine chose a dark navy and a pale pink for her niece, it looked so lovely for that season and with lovely soft textured bouquets to match. We were blown away by Sarah Elizabeths Photographs, and we were ready to move into the castle. It was a real  pleasure working with Catherine, and we are very proud of the result.

long sleeved vintage style wedding dress

Effie was one of our many brides this year who stays in London, live a really busy life and couldn't just pop in during lunch break. Lucky enough her sweet mum came to see us and enquire initially on her behalf. We made some initial contact, and when we first met the bride it was a joy. She had given so much thought to her dress. She brought in a fantastic family album with pictures of her relatives, who had married in dresses, we were to take inspiration from.We ended up with a matte silk duchesse silk satin dress. It has long sleeves and cross over folds on the front. With the dress she wore a 2 tier long veil with a lovely heavy corded lace edging. The veil softened the sharp lines of the dress, and made it much softer and feminine. We love the choice of her Hairdo and makeup. I think it gave the bride an overall almost regal appearance. The ceremony was held in the family church in North Berwick, and was very personal conducted by the brides uncle. The Reception was held in a marquee by her parents home. We love Sally Cuthberts Photography of the day. Thank you for providing us with images.

Ivory silk dress with beaded silk motifs

Sarah's sister had had a lovely evening dress made by us, so we were delighted to be asked to make Sarah's wedding dress soon after she was engaged. Sarah went for a lovely silk chiffon satin, she had a simple clean silhouette created by internal boning and corset. Then she went for lovely beaded motifs attached all over so it was close together on the bodice, and then faded out on the dress. We really liked how Sarah Bard styled her hair and her make up was done by Hannah Ostunio. The wedding was in the Calvary Chapel, York. Her photographs were taken by Caelen Weber Photography and he has kindly given us permission to share them with you. We wish Sarah and Dylan all the best for the future, we were delighted to be given the opportunity to work with you.

Coffee colour bridesmaids dresses with ivory details

Claire's wedding was full of vintage details and she wanted her 4 bridesmaids to complete the look and be complementary to her vintage style wedding dress. She went of a soft satin in a coffee colour, a bateau neckline and ivory deep cowl necks on the back. The cowl neck was so wide they almost made a little sleeve or cape on the back. There was deep ivory belt on all the dresses. They were fully lined and had concealed zips at the back.We loved how it all looked on the day where it was held at Broxmouth Park Estate near Dunbar. The hair was done by Gail Rankin Bespoke Wedding Hair and make up was done by Rosie Fraser Make Up . Ryan White Photography captured her beautiful wedding and we are delighted we have got pictures from him to show you.

Sophisticated Vegas Wedding

It was such a funny and not least happy co-incidence we ended up making Claire's wedding dress as Claire lives in London. Claire was visiting her friend in Edinburgh, and randomly walked passed our shop, and fell in love with a dress in our window.
She arranged to be in Edinburgh soon after on business and arranged to come and see us. We were delighted to meet her and talk her ideas through for her Vegas Wedding.
She ended up settling for slightly different than the original idea. She had a long length bodice with Chantilly lace overlay, internal corset and covered buttons and loops. The skirt was a lovely soft slinky silk satin.
She then had a little bolero also in the finest Chantilly lace, and button detail on sleeve and back.
Claire went for a head dress from Rene Walrus, and her friend did lovely make up for her on the day. It was so lovely to work with Claire and so exiting that her dress was traveling to London then LasVegas.

here are a couple of detail shots of Claire's dress from her final fitting.
