Autumnal Woodland Themed Wedding

We had an absolute ball when Gayle came to see us the first time, explaining how she wanted a woodland themed wedding.

We got so excited by her many ideas and well structured planning and we soon got started, she wanted colour and drama.

Gayle went for a ruched silk satin bodice, with internal lace up and then a big messy tulle skirt constructed of a few different colours of tulle, she had creams and champagnes and corals and peachy pinks.

we love the final look, and the colours couldn't have looked better in the Autumnal grounds of Gleneagles Hotel.

We made a "mini-me" flower girl for Gayle in the similar materials and cuts.

Stunning silk dress with pearl and sequin embellishment for Las Vegas Wedding.

Susan and her husband to be had already settled for a wedding in Las Vegas when she came to see me. oh it sounded amazing. A sophisticated affair with room for their lovely 2 children.

Susan had already tried a few dresses on all of which she liked, but none of them just right.

We made Susan a silk satin dress, with internal corset, and then with a silk Georgette overlay absolutely covered in pearls and sequins. The dress had a deep V at the back and little cap sleeves.

We were so pleased with the overall look of the dress, it had a such a glam feel to it and matched the location to a T.

After the wedding, Susan send me this lovely message:

Gorgeous wedding dress with lace and champagne accent colour

Becky wanted a simple wedding dress with a full skirt and lace on the bodice, she was set on having it with a bit of colour instead of all Ivory.

She went for this gorgeous lace which has an ivory base, but embroidery and beading in champagne shades. She had a full circle skirt in a soft ivory satin and a champagne satin belt on the dress.

The buttons and loops at the back finished the look off.  Ohhh and some gorgeous Royal blue suede shoes. 

The whole wedding was stunning and had lots of personal touches, one being a big wall of 1000 paper cranes.

So pleased also to be asked to make Becky's mums gorgeous outfit, i simple soft silk satin dress with a bolero jacket, it really complemented Becky's dress, and she finished it with Fuchsia details so it had the same Wow colour as Becky's outfit. 

We loved being part of it, and was delighted with Laura A Tiliman Photography photographs of Bride and Groom and all the guests and the lovely venue Norton House Hotel .

Freja Designer Dressmaking is one of the best wedding dress designers and dressmakers! It stood out from all others in the industry for many reasons: Mette’s fantastic customer service, her amazing creativity, and of course her simply stunning designs!
Mette first welcomed me and my mum into her shop like long lost friends, making me instantly at ease – not easy for the nervous wreck I had become whilst searching for ‘THE’ wedding dress! Mette listened attentively to what I felt I wanted from the dress, sketching ideas, and inspiring me to actively take part in the design process. I felt that Mette really listened to what I wanted whilst injecting her own thoughts and style into the design. My brief to Mette was something flowy, but with structure, and maybe lace but not too much. Vague as ever, but as we spoke she sketched this gorgeous dress which had been exactly what I had been thinking of.
Throughout all my fittings, Mette constantly checked with me ensuring that the dress being created was true to what I wished for and had hoped. Mette willingly draped fabric after fabric on me, so I could see myself how each element of the dress would look, leading me on the design process and ensuring that I fell in love with every aspect of the dress. The fittings were always great fun, filled with laughter and excitement. Mette demonstrated an impeccable attention to detail, not settling for anything other than perfection! She was always going the extra mile to ensure I got exactly what I wanted and making me feel special.
On the day the dress was perfect! It made me feel amazing, I felt (and still do) that the dress fitted with the simple elegance we had hoped to achieve on the day.

Destination Wedding Gibraltar

Absolutely fab wedding to be part of, Dawn is such fun and so kind..it still makes me smile, that at our first meeting, she told me it was going to be a destination wedding... either hot or cold... well there is something for me to work to.

Then Dawn's loving husband to be, made decision for a fabulous location for the wedding. His inspiration led Dawn to me and the team at Freja, and the wonderful hosts at the Mons Calpe Suite and Caleta Hotel.

Dawn says: "It's been a whirlwind of beautiful people with exceptional talents that made our special day so very memorable. Thank you for being such an important part of it all xx"

The wedding ended up being a gorgeous spring wedding in Gibraltar. It just looks so so great. Cable car to the top of the point where the ceremony took place and then celebrations galore in hotel. Lots of friends and family took time out to come and celebrate for days with Kevin and Dawn.

We made Dawn an empire line silk chiffon dress. The empire line was marked by a deep band. She had a detachable mesh bolero, with hand embellishment. The veil was hand finished, with the same embellishment.

Dawn had such an eye for detail and is used to planing, for the wedding, nothing was left unplanned, and it shows, what a lovely time they had away.

It was such a pleasure to work with Dawn and we are delighted to get to show off the gorgeous wedding.
