Lovely blue chiffon dress in Registrar Office

Lovely People getting married and its just such a pleasure being involved.
Fran and Angie had planned a fab day, packed with lots of personal touches, and all surrounded by friends and family.

I was so fortunate to get invited as i count Fran and Angie as my friends, and the party was amazing and such fun... lovely entertainment from some friends of the couple and amazing food.

The wedding itself took place in the Registrar Office and the reception was at Edinburgh Larder.

Angie had her gorgeous suit from Walker Slater and and we made Fran's lovely blue chiffon dress, with the one shoulder strap and armor detail on the arm.

Colette Casher Make-up Artist, did the make up for the bridal party.

Thank you to Duke Photography for letting us use their lovely images.

Fran has been one of our favorite brides of 2015 and you may recognize her from the photo shoot we did at Malmaison earlier in the year.

Scottish Autumnal Themed Wedding in Killearn

Sharon's wedding captured stunning autumn and Scottish vibes that was reflected in her dress. She knew she wanted something unique which I helped come to life. Sharon had this to say about her big day:

I knew exactly what I wanted… I didn’t want a traditional wedding dress. I wanted a wool/tweed wedding dress that complimented our autumnal wedding feel and Colin’s kilt. It was very difficult finding someone to take on the challenge of a wool skirt & a wool corset! Most of the wedding dress makers didn’t want to work with the material! Then I met Mette Bring it on was her attitude! She knew exactly what I wanted, she drew it and then made it in 2 weeks!! Voila! What’s even more amazing is the fabric. Moon upholstery fabric for the corset and stole and wool and cashmere coat fabric (from eBay) for the skirt!!

Mette is unbelievably amazing and an absolute dream to work with!!

I enjoyed viewing the stunning occasion on We Fell in Love. See more about Sharon's wedding here.

Angus Outdoor Castle Wedding

Young bride Alison was lovely to work with. Though slightly worried to begin with, her dream dress was created and she looked stunning in it on her big day.

I couldn’t find a wedding dress that was 100% what I had in mind, so I decided to have my dress custom made. I was slightly anxious as to how the finished dress would turn out, but Mette Baillie of Freja Designer Dressmaker in Edinburgh created the perfect dress and I loved being involved in choosing the fabrics and embellishments for the dress.

Barn Wedding on a lovely September day

Emma was such a sweet bride to work with, spoke with her before our first meeting and i got such a clear idea of what she wanted, that i had it all prepared before we met the first time. Here is what Emma said:

I had some ideas about what I wanted before looking for dresses. Mum and I went to 9 dress shops in Edinburgh and Aberdeen! I quickly started to realise what I did and didn’t like in dresses and became very picky with buttons, types of lace, back detail, neckline etc. to the point where I thought my ideal dress didn’t actually exist! It was then that I contacted Mette at Freja Designer Dressmaking with a description of my ideal dress. Before we’d even met, she had drawn my perfect dress! She was so friendly and knowledgeable that we decided to go ahead and started choosing fabrics etc. Every meeting and fitting I had was so much fun. Mette also ended up designing and making my mum’s coat and altering my granny’s outfit (the last time she wore it was to my parents’ wedding in 1986!). I just loved my dress!

See more about this wedding on We Fell In Love Blog it was such a joy seeing their wedding featured.

Gorgeous wedding in South Queensferry

Grace came with her fiance long before her wedding to see me, Grace doesn't usually wear dresses, and was keen to get something that didn't wear her, and she could look her gorgeous sporty self in,.. and a gorgeous bride.

Once we started on the design stage her Husband to be was barred from attending, and we managed to surprise him on the day.

She went for a dress with back detail and sweetheart neckline. the embellished lace motifs were attached by hand on her bodice and back panels, and it had an internal corset and buttons and loops all the way down.

I absolutely loved working with Grace, I am so impressed with her, she has represented Scotland on several occasions in different sports, and I am so impressed with her commitment with what she puts her head to.

We also made Grace's daughter Nicole's bridesmaids dress for the wedding. We had a bit of a giggle about that, as she brought in a Christmas bauble for me to match the colour.

So delighted to show this wedding off, the venue was Orocco Pier thank you to photographer Mike Glendenning for taking such lovely shots.

Hollywood glamour in Playfair Library and George Hotel

A bride with 4 bridesmaids, Stunning venue, love of colour and amazing wedding visions.... that is a dream bride to have walking through the door. Lindsay was just such a bride.

With a vision of 50'es style Hollywood glamour and lots of colours, to give her relatives from the states a proper visual treat on their big Scotland trip for the wedding, she absolutely nailed it.

Lindsay wanted a dress in tulle with lace beading and lace embellishment, the shine of the satin and the matte tulle gave lots of textures to her dress.

The 5 bridesmaids chose 5 different colours of dresses and  we made Lindsay and all 5 of them gorgeous Fur Capes for them to wear for the pictures outside.

The venue was the Playfair Library and the The George Hotel, Edinburgh, Thank you to Ryan McGoverne took the lovely photographs and let us use them.
