Beautiful wedding dress in silk and guipure lace for early Spring Wedding

Making Emma's wedding dress was an absolute pleasure. She came to see me with her lovely Danish Mum and told me about her very personal intimate wedding where nothing was left to coincidence, but lots of lovely Vegetarian foods and cakes and spring flowers and beautiful personal touches.

She went for a simple wedding dress with Cotton guipure lace and long sleeves, and a full circle silk organza skirt. It was so lovely to dress such a beautiful tall bride.

Emma did her immaculate make-up herself.

The Venue was this fab venue we have not worked with before, it was perfect for this celebration, keeping everything in house Emma tells me. The venue is Kirkhill Mansion, only 9 miles from Edinburgh.

Thank you to her Photographer Sarah Elms for letting us show her lovely day.

Here is  what Emma wrote to us after her wedding:

"Getting my dress designed and tailor-made was absolutely the best decision I made for my wedding. No stress, no trying on bad dresses, and a perfect dress at the end of it (actually really reasonable budget wise too) I had the most lovely dress designer as well, it was always a pleasure seeing her!"

Sarah's All Over Guipure Lace Dress

Sarah had a dress made by us for reeling years ago. We were so pleased she liked the experience and came back to get her wedding dress from us too.

She had some really lovely ideas for a dress which was special and had the wow factor, but which was not too formal, and had a bit of a soft organic feel to it.

We loved how her look turned out. She had a lovely soft guipure lace, it had an almost retro feel to it. The lovely lace was backed by a doupion silk which also made the belt.

The lace had a lovely scallop edging, which we added to the hem and armholes.

We loved how Sarah was styled, hair and make-up fairly soft and natural. Sarah's friend Adelaide, of Adelaide's Secret Garden, did all the floral decorations in the marquee, St Giles Cathedral and The Archers Hall with Scottish grown flowers. The marquee was set to the back of The Archers Hall.

We love the way Suzanne Black Photography captured the wedding and let us use the images.

Laurinda's Sophisticated Wedding Dress

Laurinda came to see us with super exciting and sophisticated ideas for a lovely wedding dress with lots of traditional elements, but also with some contemporary details and in a soft colour.

She ended up with a lovely silk satin dress in champagne silk, an ivory lace overlay with gold beads on, and a detailed crystal belt sitting on a deep silk satin band.

She also had lovely little buttons down the back.

The bride and groom had chosen a lovely intimate ceremony in The Bonham Hotel and used the beautiful spaces around the hotel for their wedding portraits.

Laurinda chose the gorgeous soft coloured floral decorations, created by Kate at The Stockbridge Flower Company, to match her sophisticated theme of the wedding.

It was such a pleasure making this dress for her and we love the photographs taken by Sarah from Pictorial Photography.

Floral Dress for Summer Wedding

A wedding dress with your favorite flowers, was just what Gemma-Rose wanted for her big day.
She had all the ideas with her and she had spoken to a textile artist in Glasgow to paint the many many meters of silk for her dress.

She chose a floral design with Peonies and For-Get-Me-Nots. It was painted on a crisp pure silk in a cream colour which was gorgeous for her complexion.

The dress had a deep V-neck front and back on the lightly boned bodice, a very light but full skirt with pockets at the sides, little covered buttons on the back of the dress, and the same little buttons for cuff-links for the groom as a surprise.

Gemma-Rose had planned an amazing day in her Parents garden, and luckily the weather was on their side for the big day.

I think Geebz Photography had great fun photographing Gemma-Rose's big twirling skirt, and we certainly love sharing their lovely work.

Romantic silk and lace dress for beautiful Chateau Wedding in France

Laura came in with not even showing a bump and talked wedding dresses, we made a kind of a mix of 2 dresses from the collection.

The lace, edgings material and style were all decided and Laura went away and gave birth to her gorgeous little boy.

She then came back after the birth, she was back in shape in no time at all, and we got started on her dress. It was such a pleasure to see her for the fittings and her little boy was watching carefully at all the fittings, he is such a cutie.

The dress was a mix of the Hannah dress and the Astrid dress.  Deep V-neck in Guipure lace and a paneled full silk organza skirt and train, button detail at the back.

The dress was to be worn at the wedding in the gorgeous Chateau de Reveillon.

Family and guests arrived from all over Europe to celebrate the gorgeous couple.

Thank you to the photographer Nicolas Kaplan for letting us use his great images.
