Zest for Wedding

For years I have watched Louise's beauty business Zest Skin Spa grow and develop, I have always admired her skills for having a business head and being a lovely person, both at the same time. So I was over the moon when she asked us to make her wedding dress for her.

She had the shoes before the dress, an absolutely super lovely gift from the groom, and we made the dress to match these dream Valentino shoes.

Louise had ideas of the cut of the dress. She chose a beautiful sand washed silk crepe which and a soft silk satin for accent texture.

We cut her dress as a full circle and a deep V-neck.  We had a zip made to run down the back of her dress, with the tape in the colour of the amazing Valentino shoes and the zip had gold teeth to match.

The wedding was a very sophisticated New York elopement.

I think Louise makes an absolutely stunning bride and I love how the soft silk hangs so nicely on her.

Lovely Family Wedding at Royal College of Physicians

Beautiful fun, informal wedding at the atmospheric Physicians Hall.

It was such a pleasure making Rimma's dress. The couple already had been together for years and have 2 lovely kids, so decided to spring the wedding surprise on friends and family.

The groom was an important part of the design process, which was a lovely change for how we usually work.
The wedding dress was made in a lovely guipure lace and a mikado skirt.

Ardgowan Bridal Photoshoot

We are so happy to be working with Duncan Holmes Photography from this gorgeous photoshoot we collaborated on at the Ardgowan Estate.

The style of the shoot was perfectly executed by the amazing Jacki Clark - Stylist.
Beautiful headpieces and birdcage veils by Mairi Brunning Millinery were incorporated into the looks, which really suited the amazing hair and makeup by Caroline at Eternal Hair and Beauty.

The bouquets and floral decorations created by Shona at Studio Flowers brought together the entire photoshoot.

Confirmation dress for my beautiful god daughter

It was an absolute pleasure and honour making the confirmation dress for my gorgeous god daughter Caroline.

I was there when she was baptised and made the little gown for that, and along the way in her upbringing so I was so happy to be asked if we wanted to make her dress for her confirmation.

Caroline is interested in fashion and style and had specific ideas of what the dress should look like. We made some sketches for her, and sent her some samples of fabric and also some examples of handmade silk flowers as decoration.


Caroline was beautiful on the day, and we are so pleased Fotograf Agerled supplied the lovely portraits.

Beautiful Vegas Wedding

Lisa organised a beautiful wedding in Las Vegas over many months.

It was perfect, as it gave a small group of friends and family the opportunity for a holiday and for spending time together while the lovely couple got married.

We were delighted to make Lisa's dress, it was a pure silk cowl neck dress with a crystal belt and internal lace up and buttons and loops at the back.

Lisa also had a planner in Las Vegas, the planner was 702 Vegas Weddings, and they also took the photographs.

Allie & Archie at Dalmahoy

All weddings are so special, but this wedding, in particular, stole my heart.

Allie and Archie met on a train when he sat in her seat, after Archie had been diagnosed with a brain tumour and just finished Chemotherapy, and had a really bad outlook.

But Archie fought the tumour against all odds now got to a stage where there is no measurable tumour.

After many years in the Army, he has now devoted his life to physical activity and raising money for charities, (you can read more here www.beatthebeastchallenge.co.uk) and not least devoted to Allie.

They had a wonderful intimate ceremony in Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club. Allie had planned lots of beautiful details for the day, her hair was done by Kirsty Macpherson and the flowers were done by Garlands Florist

We were so delighted to make her dress for her.

The super little Beetle was from Tartan Dubs.

We made her a zibeline panelled dress with guipure lace sleeved bolero, both Allie and her Mum had lots of input on the dress, and we loved working with them both.

1920es Flapper style dress for Royal Mile Wedding

It's lovely when you get enquiries from brides with a slightly different wedding. Kate was one of those brides, she was planning a very small intimate affair in Hotel Du Vin, and then a big party afterwards where her and the groom were planning to boogie to the early hours. Kate wanted a dress to cover both events.

She went for a super simple 1920s cut dress, but making it in an exclusive beaded chantilly lace made it a super special dress fitting for both events on her big day.

Kate and her Groom took an hour out of the day to take a walk on the Royal Mile together with Stuart Craig Photography, and we lovely the fun relaxed images we got in return.
