Lauren
and Rob got married at the beautiful Victorian venue of Hopetoun house near
Queensferry, on a glorious sunny day back in May.
Lauren
had opted for an elegant full-length silk duchess satin gown in a dark ivory, with
a pretty chantilly lace overlay in a lighter shade of ivory. This created a
slight vintage and three dimensional feel to her outfit, which also had elbow
length lace sleeves, an internal corset, button fastenings down the back and a
long flowing train.
The
Freja team also made her two bridesmaids dresses from a champagne coloured
orissa silk and with a beautiful duchess satin sash around the middle. The
bridesmaids wore sleeveless, midi-length dresses with a high neckline, a
concealed zip fastening at the back and with pockets at the sides. One of
Lauren's male best friends was also part of the bridal party and wore a
waistcoat made from this same fabric.
Lauren
looked absolutely stunning on her big day with her make-up done by Michael
Becman, flowers by Planet Flowers, hair by Heidi from Paterson SA Dalkeith,
head piece by Rene Walrus and photography by Rankine. A special thanks also
goes to the staff at Hopetoun house, the Designer Cake Boutique and the
catering team at Heritage Portfolio for making their big day so memorable! The
happy couple even chose to celebrate their first dance with a surprise flashmob
routine for their unsuspecting friends and family, marking a fantastically fun
start to married life!
