Fun and beautiful wedding at The Hub

Joanna got engaged over Christmas, and soon after was in touch. she had ideas of what she wanted and we looked at different fabrics and cuts, beads and trims and other details. She soon settled for what she wanted.. then she went away to loose some weight. She blew me away with her determination, and she looked so so different when the wedding was much closer and we had to get started on her dress.

In the meantime we got on with her bridesmaids dresses, Joanna chose a Windsor blue shot chiffon, and the colour really suited both bridesmaids and the lovely Canongate Kirk. Joanna's mother Annie, decided for a simple silk crepe dress with corded lace coat over in a pale blue colour, she had a hat from Alex Muir, and for the evening she took the lace coat off and had an elaborate belt of chiffon, crystal beading and roses.

Joanna's dress was made in pale ivory douppion silk and had a Chantilly lace overlay on the bodice. The dress had an internal corset which was laced up and then buttons and loops over the top of that. The silk was ruched to the side on the front, and then hand beading with Aurora Borealis Swarovski crystals over the folds.

She also had a 2 tier veil with a bias binding.
The flowers were from Planet flowers. Hair was done by JD Bridal Hair.

The reception was to be held in The Hub and Callanish was playing for the Ceilidh.

It’s been an absolute joy working with everyone at this wedding, all so excited to have a fun and beautiful relaxed wedding. It was so nice for us to make all the outfits and get them to tie in together.

The lovely photographs are taken by Duke Studio's, thank you so much to them for letting me show them to you.

Pretty Chantilly lace dress with guipore lace decoration

Ashley brought her fiance Tommy when she came to see me for the first time.. this is most unusual.. turned out Tommy and Ashley are both fellow bikers..match made in heaven, we got on like a house on fire.
I couldn't wait to get started on Ashley's dress. She had some lovely ideas with Chantilly lace, heavy 3D lace on top, floaty silk chiffon, silk satin, hand beading, vintage style beaded trimming, covered buttons, bare back, sea green beaded sash... and lots and lots of details.
The wedding was  to be at the beautiful Glencorse House, lovely setting for brilliant wedding with family and friends arriving from Canada, dog attending wedding and motorbike get-away.

Winter forest wonderland and ivory powdery chiffon

Rebecca contacted us to tell us she was engaged, we were so happy to hear that. We had previously worked with her and made her some stunning evening dresses, so were delighted to be asked to make her wedding dress.
Rebecca had ideas of soft soft flowing silk chiffon full double circle skirt and a long length bodice. Soft long sleeves and a boat neckline.
The soft flowing fabrics was a stunning contrast to her strong sharp hair cut, she wore a simple hair accessory from Rene Walrus.
Her wedding theme was wintry forest.
The wedding was held in The Roxburgh, Kelso, in December last year. The couple had a really personal service and reception with lots of input from their talented friends.
The photographers captured the day so well and we thank them for letting us show you the pictures.
It was a joy to work with Rebecca, and we hope you enjoy the stunning photographs, from Crofts & Kowalczyck Wedding Photographs
