Embellished lace dress for Wedding at Hopetoun House

When Rachel came to see me for the first time she had already done a lot of research to her wedding dress, and she just didn't find what she was looking for in the shops.
she had seen a lovely lace at The Dress Fabric Company kindly helped by the owner Gwyneth,  and that became the lace we went with. The lace was stunning had a lot of detail as it was embroidered with beads and sequins, and had a very deep scallop.
The lace was backed with a duchess satin, and it had an internal corset and covered buttons and loops down the back of the dress all the way to the train.
we were so pleased when Rachel's mother asked us to make her dress as well, that was made in a douppion silk, had ruching to one side and a deep collar, and had buttons details too to tie in with Rachel's dress.
The wedding cars were from Ecosse Classic Cars and Rachel's hair was done by Gillian at Bewitched Salon and her Make up was done by Vicky Cameron Make-up. The rings were supplied by Clarksons, Edinburgh.
The wedding was amazing, held at South Queensferry Parish Church and reception at Hopetoun House , the photographer was Andrew Warren Photography, he kindly supplied us with his lovely work.

Winter Wedding at the atmospheric Mansefield Traquiar

Katie wanted a winter wedding, the dress she wanted had to cover her up. and still be alluring and sexy. She went for a silk chiffon backed with a silk satin. the dress had so many meters of silk in the skirt. The bodice was ruched and had little buttons on the back. To make the sleeves as fitted as Katie wanted them proved quite tricky, but we got there in the end. The dress had a belt with Swarovsky crystals, Katie described it as a "sugared belt" which i thought was lovely and so nice and subtle.
I was fortunate enough to see the decorations in the Mansfield Traquair before the guests arrived, and they were truly amazing.
Katie's winter wedding was like a dream come true.
The Flowers were arranged by Planet Flowers, Katie's Hair was by and make up was by Lyndsey at Charlie Millar, Katie did her own make up after a lesson and stocking up on products by SpaceNK Katie's pretty shoes were by Benjamin Adams and the style is called Catherine.

Julie Tinton Photography took the lovely photograph, and has so kindly let us use them.

Cotswold Wedding with Vintage details

When Anna came to me she had lovely lovely ideas for her vintage style wedding for her beautiful Cotswold venue. She told me of all the things she would like to incorporate and it left indeed a bit of pressure on me to achieve pretty.
Anna chose a heavy textured Orissa silk with deep box pleats for her skirt,  for her sweetheart neckline bodice with internal lace up and corsetry. She then went for a really pretty beaded lace in ivory with embroidery in Mink colour thread. We picked up the mink colour in a silk satin for her belt on the dress and made fabric roses and sashes for the back also in the mink colour. The dress had an internal tulle bustle at the back which could come out at night time when the dress came up for dancing.
Anna had chosen some amazing suppliers, the wedding was held at the Kings Hotel, Campden her hair was by Nikki at Mode Lapstone and make up by Laura Walton MakeUp. Her accessories was a special birthday present from her family and made to match her dress, made by Claire Archibald at RedRocks.
Rachel Jones Photography offered us to use her amazing work on our blog, please enjoy!

Ashley brought her fiance Tommy when she came to see me for the first time.. this is most unusual.. turned out Tommy and Ashley are both fellow bikers..match made in heaven, we got on like a house on fire.
I couldn't wait to get started on Ashley's dress. She had some lovely ideas with Chantilly lace, heavy 3D lace on top, floaty silk chiffon, silk satin, hand beading, vintage style beaded trimming, covered buttons, bare back, sea green beaded sash... and lots and lots of details.
The wedding was  to be at the beautiful Glencorse House, lovely setting for brilliant wedding with family and friends arriving from Canada, dog attending wedding and motorbike get-away.
